Ben Baker grew up in East Texas on a family farm where he learned the value of hard work and perseverance. Baker learned at an early age that work ended when the job was done, not when the clock struck 5:00 o’clock. After high school, Mr. Baker went on to graduate from Texas A&M University in 1991with a Bachelor of Science before making his home in Oklahoma in 1992. Baker worked for national corporations and small businesses helping them grow and achieve success in different sectors of the agricultural market while managing his own cattle operations.
Mr. Baker went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in2006.He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma state courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma,and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Mr. Baker is also a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association where he previously served on the congressional oversight committee and the McClain County Bar Association having served as President.
Mr. Baker’s practice is based out of Purcell, Oklahoma where he represents clients from numerous states in areas of insurance law, business law, personal injury, estate planning, family law, and criminal law. Baker built his reputation for taking complex cases and being an advocate for individuals facing difficult odds against insurance companies and other large corporations.
Jennifer L. Yascavage has more than 23 years of experience as a paralegal. She attended the American University of El Salvador in Central America where she studied International Business with a minor in Accounting. In 1999, Jennifer took the National Legal Assistant Association’s (NALA) exam and earned her CP designation. In 2004 and 2005, Jennifer earned her advanced certification through NALA in Discovery and Civil Trial Law. She has worked in a variety of large document production, complex litigation, construction litigation and personal injury cases, etc. In 2018, Jennifer joined the Law Offices of Ben Baker as Senior Civil Litigation Paralegal.
Jennifer believes the best part of working in the legal industry is having the opportunity to help people who are feeling overwhelmed by something that was not their fault. Taking the stress away from the client and allowing them to focus on their health and well-being is her top priority. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling with her husband, playing with her German Shepherd, cooking, reading, entertaining, and spending time with her four daughters and two granddaughters.
